HUNGER WALK

4th Annual Rotary Hunger Walk
Saturday September 1st is the date for the 4th Annual Rotary Hunger Walk to raise awareness about the food insecurity on the mountain. The goal is to raise money - $17,000 net - to help CAC and Morton Memorial Food Banks in their efforts to provide food for those in need. The Walk is also designed to increase the awareness about the wide spread food needs by many of the families in the area.

Registration can be accomplished on this web page as well as "on the day of". Registration on the day of will begin at 8:00 AM with the Walk beginning at 9:00 AM. Registration/Donation is $25 for participants and $15 for Students. Each Walker will receive a T-Shirt and a sticker showing "Hunger is NOT a Game".

The 1st Annual Hunger Walk in 2015 had over 200 walkers and 44 sponsors. The Walk netted $8,942. The club also received a RI Grant in 2015 of $5,000. CAC and Morton Memorial each received a total of $6,500.
